Momma's First Day Back to Work :(

I had to go back to work and leave my baby girl at Grandma Sandy’s house. Reese had an activity filled day with playing, watching tv, swinging, and sleeping with the kitten. Grandpa Jim, Grandma Sandy, and Reese sent me some cute balloons to get me through the day. I even had to go to Mom’s house for lunch to get my Reese fix.

We are finally done with her room. The room was painted before she was born and I put the pictures up right after she was born. It just took a while for us to get pictures in all the frames. I am very proud of her room.

4 Generations of Derrys

I really wanted to get a 4 Generation picture with Reese and the Derry side. Her Great-Grandma Doris also wanted one to put in the paper where they used to live. Reese has so many Grandparents who love her!

Carol took the two girls to ge their pictures taken together. Here are a few. It was really hard to get both girls smiling and looking at the camera at the same time.

We took Reese to her first volleyball game today. Her cousin, Catie, was in the junior high championship game and we went to support her. Reese loved watching all the action.

2 Month Doctor's Appointment

Reese is growing so much. Her height was 23¼ inches in 80%, weight was 12lbs, 8 oz in the 90%, and head circumference was 15 inches in the 30%. We also got some shots this visit. She did pretty well and cried only a little. The doctor though she had a strong head and was doing great.

Our first baby-free weekend

Joe and I are getting away for a weekend in St. Louis for the ISU Basketball Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. We went with a few other couples and made it through the weekend without our baby girl. I did pretty well except for when we got home. I just wanted so much for her to smile at me again so I knew she didn’t forget me. She finally smiled at me when we got home and all was well.
